Building Home is the newest video from Side by Side. About: Side by Side walks with young people impacted by adversity on their unique journeys to heal from trauma, restore resilience, and embrace their potential. This is the story of two of these young people–Maya and Sky.

The Irene M. Hunt School offers a therapeutic environment for students in grades K through 12 who struggle with behavioral and emotional challenges and provides them with an individualized education tailored to their specific needs. Students develop the capability to regulate their behavior, maintain focus and resilience, and form healthy, trusting relationships – all foundational elements for lifelong learning. These are two parents’ stories of how the Hunt School helped their sons.

Our Space, a program of Side by Side, offers a vibrant safe space for Alameda County youth ages 11-23 with services that include support groups in schools, culturally relevant therapy, community-based trainings for organizations working with LGBTQ youth, and a community drop in center. Queer Love Youth Pride is an annual youth-driven cabaret performance offered by Our Space.
